Junior Print Designer

Our client, a leading childrenswear brand, is seeking a creative Junior Print Designer to join their NYC team! Responsibilities: Assist in designing repeat patterns, placed graphics, and print layouts for seasonal baby and kidswear collections Support the print development process, including trend research, color exploration, and preparation of production-ready files Collaborate with senior designers and cross-functional teams to align textile designs with seasonal themes and brand direction Help maintain organized artwork libraries, color standards, and seasonal documentation Prepare print mockups and contribute to internal reviews and presentations Stay up to date on market trends, color direction, and emerging print techniques Communicate with vendors on sample needs, artwork hand-offs, and file formatting under guidance from senior team members Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design, Surface Design, or a related creative field 1–3 years of experience in textile or print design, internships included (children’s apparel a plus) Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; familiarity with digital drawing tools like Procreate is a plus Solid understanding of color, pattern layout, and repeat construction Basic knowledge of fabric types and printing methods (rotary, screen, digital) Detail-oriented and organized with strong file management and documentation skills Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-paced, collaborative environment Strong communication skills and a proactive, team-first attitude $60k-80k depending on experience Hybrid schedule Please submit your resume and portfolio for consideration.
