Head of People Operations
TechOur client, a hyper-growth, mission-driven tech company, is looking for a Head of People Operations to build, lead, and scale their global People Ops function!
This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, loves operational excellence, and sees People Operations as a strategic lever for growth. You’ll own the systems, programs, and practices that enable their teams to do their best work—today and as they scale globally.
What You’ll Lead
Global People Operations at Scale
- Own international employment operations, including visas and green cards, global hiring risk assessment, and compliant workforce expansion
- Lead the planning and launch of new international entities, including expansion into India, ensuring alignment with local labor, tax, and payroll requirements
Payroll, Compensation & Rewards
- Oversee end-to-end payroll operations across all employee groups with precision and reliability
- Drive compensation operations including leveling frameworks, benchmarking, equity administration, performance review cycles, and comp planning
Compliance, Benefits & Policy
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws while maintaining audit readiness
- Own benefits administration across medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) programs
- Define and administer leave programs (PTO, parental, medical) in line with regulatory requirements
Employee Relations & Manager Enablement
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on policy interpretation, performance management, and conflict resolution
- Build scalable tools, playbooks, and guidance that empower managers to lead with clarity, confidence, and consistency
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing People Operations team aligned to company goals and growth plans
What You Bring
- 10+ years of HR or People Operations experience in fast-paced, scaling tech environments
- Strong operational mindset with proven project management and execution excellence
- Experience with—or exposure to—India labor regulations (a strong plus)
- High integrity and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic, high-growth environment
- Collaborative leadership style with experience partnering closely with executives and cross-functional teams
- Hands-on experience with HRIS tools (Rippling), ticketing systems (Serval), and modern collaboration tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom)
