Associate Technical Designer

Our client, a high end RTW fashion company, is seeking a temp-to-hire Associate Technical Designer to join their team in Los Angeles!

Responsibilities:
- Create and update tech packs, ensuring information is accurate from development through to production.
- Collaborate with designers, patternmakers, and manufacturers to ensure brand standards are met.
- Meet with Design team and patternmakers for handoffs including sketches and mock- up/knitdown requests.
- Measure garments from proto through TOP stage to confirm specifications.
- Attend fittings, take pictures/notes, and offer suggestions to improve fits.
- Collaborate with our external network of patternmakers and manufacturers when necessary to solve fit and construction issues.
- Maintain organized library of tech design files, including pattern cards and digital patterns

Requirements:
- Has a strong understanding of cut & sew, margins, and garment constructions from initial development to final stages.
- This is an on-site role. Applicants must be able to commute to Los Angeles, CA.
