Estate Manager
A confidential ultra-high net worth principal is seeking a seasoned and service-oriented Estate Manager to oversee the daily operations of multiple high-value private residences in Hawaii. This role is responsible for maintaining impeccable estate standards and ensuring seamless operation of services and staffing across the properties. The Estate Manager will report to the COO and supervise a team of staff, ensuring top-tier service aligned with the principal's preferences and lifestyle.
***This is an on-site role that also can provide off-site housing. Will consider candidates willing to relocate.
Salary: $150,000 -$200,000
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily operations of the Hawaii properties, including managing local teams and coordinating from a distance as needed.
- Supervise and schedule housekeeping, housemen, and food & beverage personnel; set daily priorities and ensure standards are consistently met.
- Conduct virtual and in-person walkthroughs and team briefings to align on service goals, daily tasks, and upcoming events.
- Ensure all homes are maintained at five-star standards, including AV equipment functionality, cleanliness, and readiness.
- Coordinate with the Valuable Assets team for proper handling, maintenance, and documentation of the principal’s vehicles.
- Maintain athletic and entertainment facilities such as tennis courts.
- Plan and execute formal dinners, banquets, and large-scale social gatherings across locations.
- Oversee wardrobe care, suitcase packing, clothing procurement, and closet organization.
- Schedule, supervise, and manage vendors and subcontractors for all projects.
- Partner with the estate security team to manage access for guests and contractors.
- Proactively identify and address safety hazards and ensure compliance with estate protocols.
- Maintain inventory systems and oversee invoice and expense reporting.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in a senior-level role within a private estate or luxury hospitality setting.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience managing high-performing domestic or service staff.
- Proven experience planning high-end events and working with luxury food, wine, and service standards.
- Technologically proficient; capable of basic AV troubleshooting and smart-home system management.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; must be willing to travel as needed (up to 20%).
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to speak conversational Spanish is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks requiring mobility, bending, climbing, and standing.
- Flexible schedule with availability on weekends and evenings, depending on principal needs.
- Travel to California required as needed, with regular communication and oversight from Hawaii
