Accounts Receivable Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of accounts receivable, including billing, collections, reconciliations, and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and a collaborative mindset to help support the finance team and broader business operations.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage billing system, create and send timely invoices, and process credit card payments
• Prepare bank deposits and maintain accurate customer accounts and records
• Apply payments to accounts and reconcile customer balances by aging bucket
• Investigate and resolve payment, chargeback, and return discrepancies
• Support collections efforts and escalate past-due accounts as needed
• Generate monthly AR metrics and aging reports for senior management
• Assist with accounting for uncollectible accounts, AR reserve reconciliation, and related journal entries
• Contribute to month-end close through account reconciliations and reporting
• Implement and maintain AR best practices and process documentation
• Provide support for audits and assist with special projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of standard accounts receivable billing and collection practices
• Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
• Proficient in MS Office Suite; QuickBooks experience is a plus
• Minimum 3 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role, preferably in fashion or retail
• Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in Finance or Accounting
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and productively in a multi-task, deadline-oriented environment
• Self-motivated, flexible, and a strong team player
• Proactive, strategic thinker with initiative and ownership over projects from start to finish
