New Opening General Manager - Upscale Restaurant Group
Our client, an upscale restaurant group, is seeking a General Manager with experience in New Openings. This individual will be responsible for leading all team members in running efficient and profitable operations, managing day-to-day store operations, maintaining high store standards and conditions, and fostering a positive environment across all workplaces.
Responsibilities:
- Ensures, and is accountable for, profitability of the store by growing sales and controlling cost of goods.
- Opens or closes the restaurant, completes opening or closing checklist, as applicable.
- Able to perform all POS functions, including opening and closing procedures, comps, voids and transfers, back office administration (employee creation, menu management, etc.)
- Hire, train, supervise, manage, coach, counsel, and evaluate employees.
- Act as a role model for outstanding service; continuously works to elevate service standards, and personally embodies hospitality in daily actions.
- Builds morale and team spirit by fostering a work environment where team members’ input is encouraged.
Qualifications:
- 5-7+ years as a General Manager across an upscale restaurant environment.
- Must have spearheaded new-openings and worked in tandem with architecture and development teams.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations, including FOH and BOH.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations, multitask, and solve problems quickly.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
