Junior Textile Designer

Our client, a home textiles company, is looking for a Junior Textile Designer to join their team in Brooklyn.

Responsibilities

  • Create and revise CAD artwork for prints, patterns, and textile designs in alignment with seasonal concepts and brand direction.
  • Develop pattern repeats, colorways, and placement layouts for various product categories.
  • Prepare production-ready artwork files and ensure accuracy of scale, color, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with design, product development, and merchandising teams to translate concepts into digital artwork.
  • Maintain organized CAD libraries for prints, patterns, and textile assets while tracking revisions and updates.

Qualifications

  • 1–2 years of experience in CAD design within fashion, textiles, or a related creative field.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with experience creating repeat patterns and textile artwork.
  • Solid understanding of color, pattern development, and textile design principles.
  • Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, Graphic Design, or a related field preferred.
