Office Assistant – Biopharmaceutical Firm
A growing biopharmaceutical firm with 200 employees is looking for someone with a hospitality background who is eager to help keep the office running smoothly. This role will assist by helping to stock/restock snacks and office supplies, make coffee, pass out mail and packages, keep the office organized, help with setting up office breakfast/lunches/meetings and additional tasks as needed. This is not a stationary desk job as you will be moving around the two-floor office to assist where needed.
Location: Monday – Friday onsite downtown NYC
Hours: 8am-4pm, with flexibility if needed
Compensation commensurate with experience: $60-65k base range + discretionary bonus + stock options + great benefits, 401k match, 3 weeks’ vacation and health & wellness perks
Ideal candidate:
-looking for a college graduate with hospitality/hotel/restaurant experience who is looking to get into office assistant/operations support
-Someone who wants to stay in this type of career path/ role- room to take on more over time within the role
-Must have a roll up sleeves attitude – no job too small, low ego mentality
-Must be happy to pitch in where needed and run around between the 2 floors of the office!
Responsibilities include:
-Assist with keeping the office organized, making coffee, restock snacks and supplies, handle mail, wiping down counters, making sure vendors can get into the building to deliver packages, etc.
-Empty dish rack at end of day.
-Help set up breakfast on Tuesdays and lunch on Thursdays (free for all employees)
-Ordering lunches, setting up catering, helping to clean up and putting snacks out daily
-Managing all inventory for snacks and office supplies
-Ad hoc tasks like making coffee, clean a dish if left in the sink, etc.
-Liaise with the building for security and facility management
-Helping with shipping/ mail
