Chief Financial Officer/Controller

Our client is a leading e-commerce business, positioned at the forefront of market innovation and committed to expanding their reach through strategic acquisitions. With a solid foundation in their sector, they aim to enhance their operational excellence and financial strength by welcoming a Chief Financial Officer to their executive team. The ideal candidate will be comfortable being in office/hybrid in the Palm Beach office and play a pivotal role in shaping their long-term acquisition strategy, ensuring sustainable growth and financial stability.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Spearhead the development and execution of a robust long-term acquisition strategy that aligns with our company's vision and financial
    goals.
  • Financial Expertise: Oversee comprehensive due diligence processes, financial modeling, and integration strategies for potential acquisitions to ensure seamless alignment with our business objectives.
  • Operational Efficiency: Implement innovative accounting systems and processes to enhance financial reporting, operational efficiency, and profitability of newly acquired entities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with management teams of existing and newly acquired entities to optimize financial performance, focusing on KPIs, budgeting, unit economics, and margin analysis.
  • Investment Analysis: Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify and evaluate investment opportunities, preparing investment memos and presentations to support decision-making.
  • Relationship Building: Leverage networking skills to source potential acquisition targets, establishing and maintaining strong relationships with founders,
    management teams, and external partners.


Qualifications:

  • Education: BS in Business, Accounting, or Finance. A Master's degree in a related field or CPA/CFA certification is preferred.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of combined experience in M&A (buy-side and sell-side) within a bulge bracket bank or a boutique growth equity firm, with a proven track record of successful acquisitions and financial strategy implementation.
  • Skills: Strong analytical, strategic planning, and communication skills. Proficiency in creating and managing budgets, financial forecasting, and implementing new accounting systems.
  • Characteristics: Exceptional leadership qualities, strategic thinker, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. A strong ethical foundation and a commitment to transparency and integrity in all financial practices.
