Director of Production & Sourcing

Our client, a intimates/lounge/activewear company, is seeking a Director of Production & Sourcing to join their team in Secaucus, NJ!

Responsibilities:‍

-Communicate with mills and factories regarding seasonal projections, negotiations, and order placements
-Oversee cost negotiations. Drive best costs, to ensure the department meets or exceeds seasonal margin goals
-Establish a strong relationship with vendors
-Follow through of the approval process from completed BOM handoff from design, color and components approvals, technical follow up, fit approvals, pre-production, testing and TOP approvals
-Resolve issues with product approvals and / or testing failures.
-Evaluate production issues to determine possible impact to deliveries
-Partner with Domestic and Offshore QA Teams
-Timely update POs in the system
-Create and maintain delivery reports for weekly review with team

‍Requirements:‍

-Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study
-8-10 years’ experience in apparel Product Development, Production, QA and Testing
-Experience working with a big box mass market retailer (ie: Target, Walmart)
-Intimates experience a plus
-Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing, testing and quality control
-Strong problem solving and negotiating skills with factories and materials supplies
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Understanding of fabrics and trims, YY, CM, AU Cost Component in a Garment
-Thorough understanding of cost component breakdown, preferable CPM and SMV knowledge
-Must be proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.

Salary: $140,000-$165,000
