Sourcing Specialist

Our client, a consumer brand, is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to manage production timelines, supplier relationships, and key milestones across various product categories. The ideal candidate will track production, troubleshoot shipment issues, and ensure efficient communication with manufacturers. With strong organizational skills, they will handle multiple SKUs and timelines while adapting to fast-paced changes. The role requires a detail-oriented individual with a passion for data analysis and continuous process improvement.

Pay: $26 - $30/hr

Temp: Up to 7 months duration

On-site: Near Orlando, Florida

Responsibilities:

• Oversee production management and responsible sourcing for multiple categories within the division.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure key milestones are achieved, including:
• Consolidating and approving orders across all business units.
• Tracking production progress and providing updates.
• Adjusting in-season plans to accommodate evolving business needs.
• Manage and communicate vendor timelines, weekly progress reports, and shipment troubleshooting for affected regions.
• Handle in-season requests for pushing, chasing, or canceling orders, addressing production delays and challenges as they arise.
• Generate standard and ad-hoc reports as needed, such as time and action calendars, production schedules, and status updates.
• Leverage product knowledge to address the needs of diverse stakeholders while ensuring smooth collaboration with cross-functional teams and vendors.
  

Qualifications:

• 1 - 3+ years of relevant experience, ideally in specialty retail or consumer products.
• Bachelor’s degree in Merchandising, Product Development, Product Design, Business, or -Supply Chain preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Strong ability to work with data, with a passion for creating clear, concise, and logical reports.
• Familiarity with Sourcing, Production, and/or Logistics.
• Proven success in communicating effectively with manufacturers.
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities.
• Capable of managing multiple SKUs and timelines in a fast-moving environment.
• Demonstrated ability to build credibility and trust with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Committed to continuous improvement, with a focus on efficiency and scalability.
• Flexible and adaptable, with a desire to grow alongside the organization.
