Content Marketing Assistant

Our client, a distinguished jewelry retailer, is seeking a Content Marketing Assistant to join their team and play a crucial role in shaping and executing content strategy. This role demands a highly skilled writer with several years of experience who can effectively communicate the brand's voice and engage the target audience across various platforms. The position is full-time and based in Highland Park, requiring availability Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, with flexibility to work weekends and additional hours in December as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Content Development: Create and manage compelling, well-structured content that aligns with the brand’s voice. Develop content pillars to drive brand awareness, loyalty, and conversion.
  • Content Production: Oversee the end-to-end content production process, including researching, writing, sourcing, and interviewing relevant stakeholders.
  • Content Strategy: Plan and execute content strategies across various touchpoints such as social media, website, email, digital advertising, and sales collateral.
  • Internal Communications: Draft and manage internal communications including articles, emails, and newsletters.
  • Media Relations: Develop and distribute press releases, bylines, and blog posts. Pitch content for product roundups and holiday guides.
  • SEO and Analytics: Implement SEO strategies to maximize content visibility and use analytics to enhance content strategies, improve engagement, and increase conversion rates.
  • Content Management: Maintain and manage the content calendar, oversee content audits, and update or archive outdated materials.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay informed on industry trends, copywriting tools, and best practices to continuously improve content quality.
  • Event Support: Provide on-site support for company events, including evenings and weekends, with advance notice.

Experience:

  • 5-7+ years of professional writing experience with strong creative and storytelling abilities.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience with luxury, jewelry, retail, or fashion content preferred.
  • Skills: Exceptional verbal, writing, and editing skills across various styles. Expert proofreading and knowledge of AP style.
  • Flexibility: Ability to incorporate feedback, problem-solve in real-time, and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Brand Alignment: Experience capturing brand identity and tone of voice, and translating brand strategies into compelling content.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills, including scoping work, prioritizing workflow, and managing deadlines.
  • Collaboration: Excellent collaboration skills with the ability to influence and drive alignment among stakeholders.
