Senior Home Designer

Our client, a home goods company, is seeking a Senior Home Designer to join their team in NYC!

Responsibilities:‍

• Lead the design process for multiple seasonal product categories, including home décor items such as decorative accessories, tabletop, throws, wall décor, stationery, storage, and pet products.
• Develop product concepts based on current trends, market research, and customer requirements, ensuring commercial viability for mass-market retail at various price points.
• Create detailed product designs, renderings, and tech packs, presenting cohesive collections to both internal teams and external clients.
• Work closely with product developers to ensure designs are accurately translated into finished goods with innovation and precision.
• Maintain ongoing communication with domestic and overseas partners to ensure efficient and high-quality product execution.
• Assist with seasonal showroom setup and product presentation for sales meetings.

Qualifications:‍

• 4+ years of professional experience in the home décor or textile industry, with a focus on categories such as decorative accessories, tabletop, wall décor, and related product lines.
• Expertise in graphic design, product rendering, and tech pack creation.
• Proven track record working with mass-market retailers and managing product development with overseas factories.
• Strong understanding of home product manufacturing processes and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external teams.
• Experience delivering impactful product presentations to a variety of stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
