Director of Business Development and Investor Relations

Our client is seeking a motivated and dynamic BD & IR professional to join their team and drive their capital-raising efforts.

Hours: 8:30am-5:30pm - in-person 5 days a week in their New York Office, or Miami Beach Office.

Responsibilities:‍

• Develop and execute the firm’s marketing strategy with a global reach from large institutional to small family office investors.
• Continue to develop relationships with strong existing pipeline of prospective investors (pension funds, consultants, endowments, foundations, family offices and RIAs)
• Manage all aspects of the firm’s investor relations efforts, including client reporting and service, due diligence processes, investor communications, etc.
• Effectively liaise with all internal colleagues and external partners (capital introduction teams, fund administrators, and outsourced compliance consultant).
• Maintain and enhance marketing materials (fund tear-sheet, investor presentation, etc.)
• Assist with and attend certain investment and operational due diligence meetings.

Requirements:‍

• 10+ years of experience in fundraising / investor relations in alternative assets, preferably within the hedge fund industry
• Ability to understand, articulate, and market a sector focused, L/S investment strategy to sophisticated investors.
• Professional, self-starter, collaborative, and strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to parse numbers and data to accurately respond to client inquires
• Passion for relationship building and sharing investment insights
• Impeccable ethics coupled with strong personal and professional integrity
• Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment and handle a wide variety of projects
