Housekeeper - Westchester

Private Family seeks a Housekeeper to assist with the daily cleaning, care, laundry, and management of their household. Candidates should have prior experience working in private luxury residences and should consider themselves an expert in organization.

The hourly rate for this position is between $40-$45/hr. This role also is eligible for overtime above 40 hours, a discretionary year-end bonus, and health benefits; including medical, dental, vision insurance

Responsibilities:

• Full charge housekeeping throughout the residence on a daily basis including all rooms and bathrooms
• Changing sheets and towels multiple times per week
• Completing the laundry including washing, pressing and ironing sheets, clothing, towels, etc. as necessary
• Maintaining tidy and orderly closets throughout residence; providing assistance with packing and unpacking for travel
• Assisting with meal service/events
• Liaising with vendors, contractors, and household employees in a positive manne
• Maintaining household inventories and procuring supplies as needed
• Running errands, grocery shopping, etc.
• Light personal assistance
• Be willing to do whatever is needed outside of the normal scope: Drop off clients at the nearby airport if needed, Caring for 2 dogs including walking, feeding, administering medication, etc.
• Traveling with the family during summer months to additional properties to assist with housekeeping, providing service, and hosting events

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of related professional experience working in a private home as a Housekeeper
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with museum quality cleaning and care for: antiques, silver, fine art, fine garments, linens, etc.
• Have experience with meal service or be willing to take training from our chef and service team to help as needed
• Exceptional organization skills and multitask management
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and be a team player
• Ability to take direction and follow policy and rules
• Professional, polished and discreet - must be able to work professionally around VIP's
• Must have own transportation with a clean driver’s license
• Excellent references required from previous employers
• Legally able to work in the United States
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as requested.

This role is primarily based in Westchester. Ideally candidates would be open to travelling to additional properties during the summer months (live-in accommodations will be provided).
