HR Manager / HRBP

Our client, a medical device company, is seeking an HR Manager / HRBP to join their team. This role will support day-to-day Human Resources operations. As the HR Business Partner/HR Manager, you will play a crucial leadership role, responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and initiatives that align with our company’s mission and principles. This position requires a strategic thinker who can effectively manage both high-level planning and hands-on HR functions. Ideal candidates will have experience in startup environments.

Base Salary: $120,000 – $150,000
Location: Carlsbad (On-site Daily)

SUMMARY
As the HR Business Partner/HR Manager, you will play a crucial role within our leadership team, responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, policies, and programs that align with our company’s goals and values. This is a hands-on role that requires a strategic thinker who is also willing to roll up their sleeves to handle day-to-day HR operations. The ideal candidate has a strong background in building and managing HR functions in a startup or fast-growing environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
• Design and establish HR policies, procedures, and programs to support the company’s growth and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
• Partner with senior leadership to understand business needs and provide HR guidance and support.
• Manage the recruitment and selection process to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
• Oversee employee onboarding, training, and development programs to ensure a positive and effective integration into the company.
• Develop and implement performance management systems and processes to drive employee engagement and productivity.
• Advise on HR issues including employee relations, performance, compensation, benefits, and organizational development.
• Lead initiatives to foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
• Administration of employee records and documentation.
• Act as a point of contact for employees, addressing HR-related inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively.



QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in HR roles, with a proven track record in developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives.

•      Experience in startup or fast-growing environments is highly desirable.
• Strategic thinker with hands-on operational expertise.
• In-depth knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Strong leadership skills and decisive decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in navigating and resolving complex HR challenges with discretion and professionalism.
• Skilled in dynamic problem-solving and making informed decisions.
• Expertise in handling sensitive and confidential information with utmost discretion.
