Senior Business Development Executive
A global leader in capital introductions is looking for a Senior Business Development Executive to help build out the Dallas office. This is a rare opportunity for anyone looking for a Mid-Senior level business development role within the Asset Management industry. This person will be the founding member of the Dallas office, working closely with the London and New York team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, developing relationships with fund mangers, and promoting the firm.
Responsibilities:
- Develop opportunities through firm leads and own research to establish whether or not fund managers may be suitable for the service
-Introduce new fund managers to the service - various methods of outreach include cold-calling, marketing and email campaigns, attending conferences, acting upon referrals from industry contacts and current clients, managing incoming requests
- Be an ambassador for the firm and have a thorough knowledge of the service
- Gather correct contact information and firm details; using access to external data and information sources and an internal CRM
- Record interactions with potential clients within a CRM system; maintaining an updated record all sales pipelines and prospects so that accurate forecasts can be made
- Draft proposals and other supporting materials required post-meeting
- Produce weekly progress reports for senior management
- Participate in review sessions with senior management to assess performance
- Arrange and attend sales meetings pitching the firm's service
- Organize and execute any follow-up processes that are required post-meeting
- Help prepare formal agreements
- Travel nationally to attend conferences and build out roadshows
Qualifications:
- Strong written and organizational skills with attention to detail
- Passion for investing and curiosity geared toward the fund management industry
- Demonstrate ability to master difficult concepts quickly and operate in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional relationship and network building skills
- Self-starter attitude and aptitude for cold outreach to originate new pipeline opportunities
- Ability to work in the office independently
- Demonstrate experience in a business development or sales role
- Experience within the domain of asset and investment management
- Bachelor's degree with strong academic credentials and other relevant training certificates
